Getting Started
Everyone was new to carriage driving once and we want to give you the best possible start!
We’ve compiled some advice about getting started with the club and driving at competitions.
When you start and before you spend a lot of money, please get in touch with us if you want any extra advice or help getting started. We should be able to point you in the right direction!
Assessments
All drivers who are new to the club must be assessed before being allowed to compete in NEDTL events. More information can be found in the assessments policy on the club documents page.

This is a requirement of our public liability insurance and is carried out in accordance with the guidelines laid down by British Carriagedriving.
The only exception to this rule is with regard to drivers who have already undergone assessment with another driving club, in which case they will simply be asked to provide evidence of this.
